LA TORRE - THE CHALLENGE COURSE
The second of the Nicklaus trail golf courses to be opened. Set within a resort setting of white properties and the facilities of the Club House, Town Centre with its restaurants and bars, the Celebration and Conference centre and the Intercontinental 5 star Hotel.
Par 68 doesn't sound intimidating but with 550,000 sq.m of sculpted bunkers you will be a very lucky player not to have use of your sand wedge throughout 18 holes and with 3 lakes in play on 7 holes to make an impression with any handicap player.
Island greens and lakes await you throughout the course but nothing quite like the 9th hole. A full carry over water with a mid to long iron to a shallow green, short in water, long in the bunker with a shot out towards the lake, nerves will tell more if theres an audience of onlookers to the balcony outside Pino’s bar which looks down on the green.
Another 2 Par 3’s over water on the back nine, play the par 3’s well and you could be onto a good score.
